Removing Graffiti Vandalism from Natural Porous Materials
11. 8. 2015
With certain types of facade surfaces — typically fine materials such as marble, terrazzo, granite and natural stone — spray graffiti paint can penetrate deep into the structure and is difficult to remove completely. After graffiti removal, shadows remain in some areas that cannot be eliminated even after several attempts. In such cases, it is necessary to call on the services of another specialist company — for example, stonemasons who must crystallise the marble. Unfortunately, this significantly increases the financial cost of graffiti removal.
For buildings that are attractive to graffiti vandals, we recommend installing protection in the form of an anti-graffiti coating. An anti-graffiti coating or spray subsequently allows affected areas to be easily washed using only water and manual pressure, without the need for machine cleaning.
